Synopsis

Mount Lofty was previously called Tick Hill and had an old home called 'Longview' on its crest. An apparently old lady called Polly Cocks lived there. Her father had had the two storied house removed from Ruthven Street to the hill which must have been quite an achievement. [Toowoomba Historical Society, ANPS files]
