Laid down at Maryborough, Queensland in August 1940, and launched just over 7 months later, HMAS Toowoomba I was one of the sixty Minesweeper AKA Corvette built for the Royal AUstralian Navy during World War II.
The ship would later be decommissioned in July 1946, when it was later be handed to the Netherlands Navy.
