Welcome to the website of Holy Name Primary School.
We are located in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. We provide a Co-educational faith-based Catholic education to students from Prep to Year 7.

TERM 4
Week 7
This week the whole school is in full rehearsal for next week's performance of "Around the World in Less than an Hour". Performance times are Monday, 24th November at 6pm and Tuesday, 25th November at 1:30pm. The children are most excited and are hoping everyone will attend the show. Entry is a gold coin donation.
Thank you to the Prep Families and Teachers who led our Sunday Eucharist.
This week there is a School Board meeting on Monday at 6pm. On Tuesday Swimming continues for Prep to Year 3. There is a full dress rehearsal in the hall and we warmly welcome John Meneely who is visiting us.
Wednesday, we invite Year One parents for 2009 to attend a Parent Information Night at 7pm. The meeting will take place in the Year One room.
Thursday, the children may wear coloured dress and bring a non-perishable item for the needy because it is Universal Children's Day. By donating items we can make a difference for children and families in need. May your week be blessed!
Week 6
The reports from the campers were that they had a great time on camp doing fun activities such as canoeing, ghost crabbing, fencing and orienteering.
This week, on Monday we invite you to our Remembrance Day Service at 10:30 am. Monday night is the AGM of the P & F. Please come along to join us in making a difference for our children. Tuesday, swimming continues for Prep to Year 3 classes. Thursday we look forward to having the Preps for 2009 visiting and on Friday we warmly welcome to our school the Director of Catholic Education, Mr John Borserio. On Sunday, the Prep children and families will lead our Family Sunday Eucharist. Everyone is welcome. Remember to keep up-to-date by using the children's diaries, What's On, this week's newsletter and this web-site. Continue to make a difference in the lives of others. "Lest we forget!" those who sacrificed their lives for others.
Week 5
Thank you to everyone who helped on the stalls or supported us through participating in the various fun activities at our Fete. You have made a difference! The success of our fete helps our children and community members.
Early this week the Year 4 to 7 classes are going on camp to Burleigh Heads. We hope they have a wonderful time. Tuesday is swimming as usual for Years Prep to 3. Friday we have a busy day starting off with 8:45am Eucharist with Mr McAllister and the Year Ones leading us. Please come and join us. Later in the day at 6pm, we invite you to welcome our new Prep parents and parents for 2009 at a get together promoted by the P&F for the grown ups and for the children, a disco in the hall. We hope very much to see both present and new families attending Friday evening. Have a wonderful week!

Week 4
Everyone is in preparation for our Fete which will be on from 11 am onwards. Your kind donations are truly appreciated to make the Fete a successful one. This Wednesday will be the last of the "crazy days" with it being "Crazy Hair" Day. David is away this week attending the Australian Primary Principals' Association Conference. Kellie Logan is Acting Principal. For more details about what is happening this week please read the, "What's On" due home on Monday and the school's newsletter due out on Thursday! We look forward to seeing everyone at the Fete!
Week 3
Welcome to another exciting week at Holy Name. Thank you to all the families who participated in the Family Sunday Eucharist and activities after Mass This week we celebrate Mission Week and Family. Try and find something special to do as a family. It might be something simple like going for a walk or playing a board game together. Monday is a pupil-free day and we will welcome many teachers from other schools to Holy Name. There is also a School Board meeting at 7pm. Tuesday is swimming for Prep to Year 3 classes. Wednesday is "Crazy Hat" Day and all families are asked to donate ingredients for the cake and sweet stalls. Thursday and Friday is sport. May you all appreciate and enjoy the precious gift of your family members especially during this week of the family. God Bless!
Week 2
Please join us for the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary at 9am Monday. The P&F will meet Monday night at 7pm and we would like to see you there. This Tuesday begins swimming lessons for the next eight weeks for the years, Prep to 3. In the afternoon, Gary Logan and Veronica McKeon will run their Gardens of Feeling Social Skills Program. Wednesday is the Crazy Glasses Day to assist the stalls for our up-coming Fete on 2nd November. Remember to read the newsletter on Thursday, to Stand up for the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on Friday. Please collect and return any Walk-a-thon monies as soon as possible. Money will be going to three worthy causes. Sunday is Family and Mission Sunday. You are all invited to attend Mass in the church at 8:30 am. Please come along to pray in unity for our Holy Name community families and for all families around the world. May our gathering in the church to pray help to make a peaceful difference in our lives and in the lives of others. Have a great week!
Week 1
Welcome back on Monday to our staff especially, Denise and David. Monday, the staff are having in-service in the areas of Religion and ICT with Phillip Fitzgerald and Paul Watkins. Tuesday, school resumes for everyone. We look forward to a busy and productive last term. There is swimming for Prep to Year 3 and the Fete to be held on Sunday, 2nd November. Remember to place this event in your diary. Tuesday and Wednesday, the Life Education Van will be visiting the school. All students will be attending a session on either day. Thursday and Friday are the usual days for sport. Have a great week to start Fourth Term! As we journey together, may we all be positive about making a difference in each others' lives!
